Cookery Part 1 - Course Outline

Cookery classes take place once a week for 6 weeks from 8.30 am to 1 pm. Please bring an overall, apron & head covering. Super Domestic aprons – optional extra.

An outline of the Cookery Part 1 course is as follows:

Week 1

Measuring.
Roast chicken & stuffing.
How to make gravy.
Roast potatoes & chips.
Vegetables.
Fruit salad.
Peppermint fridge tart.

Week 2

Apple cake & whipped cream.
Curry & rice.
Sambals.
Fish with lemon butter sauce.
Mixed green salad.

Week 3

Cake & icing.
Eggs (e.g. omelette).
Breakfast accompaniments.
French toast.
Stuffed tomatoes.

Week 4

Muffins.
Salads.
Sandwiches.
Fettucine.

Week 5

Wholewheat seed loaf.
White bread rolls.
Leek & potato soup.
Pumpkin soup & croutons.
Vegetable soup.
Cream of celery soup.
Grilled mushrooms.

Week 6

Bread & butter pudding.
Cheese scones.
Pot roast.
Chicken casserole.
Vegetable stir fry.
